The Fullness of Time had come!

This week we saw how God was in control, preparing the stage for the arrival of Messiah Jesus at just the right time. The messianic expectation in all of its diversity was in full bloom, and few were ready for the coming of the Son of God when he burst on the scene as the son of the carpenter (or so it was assumed!). But why do we have four accounts of the story of Jesus? Would it not have been better for God to inspire someone to write an inclusive and exhaustive biography? As we continue discussing his life and then the birth of the NT church, we'll see that each writer, from his own perspective, complements the others, and wrote with the needs of his readers in mind. What do you think?

Hi Mr. Nash,
I just wanted to explain when I wrote this -

"Very much like Saul, - as an individual at least - the apostles did what they assumed was right (9:38, 10:13, 10:35-37, 14:31, 14:47), so often, rather than asking what was right." -

I was referring to King Saul. Old Testament Saul that we had recently written a paper about. When he "semi"-obeyed God and they annointed David instead. The apostles had it a bit easier since they had Jesus' instruction.

My Dad went on a number of mission trips to Brazil and a lot of the friends he made over there and their families stayed with us in the past (quite a while ago). I don't remember a lot of Portuguese, which is sort of surprising since some of his friends spoke no English and I did hold conversations with them. But I'm glad you're working there!
